START: Whitehaven harbour - west coast 7am
FINISH: Tynemouth (Newcastle Upon Tyne)
RACE DISTANCE: 140 miles non-stop
RACE TIME LIMIT: 38 Hours
TERRAIN: Road/cycle path/ some heavy off-road paths hills crossing the Lakedistrict and Pennines
SUPPORT: Each runner must have their own support crew vehicle, food, water and equipment (max of one SMALL vehicle). We provide a start, a finish, some time stations, route guide, marshals, t-shirt and medal ONLY. THIS IS A LOW COST LOW KEY EVENT
SHARING: runners can share crews (max of 3 runners per crew)
CUT-OFFS: There will be cut-offs at approx 25, 50 and 100 miles and random time checks throughout.
CHECKPOINTS: There will be several TIME STATION'S only.
EQUIPMENT: Runners/crew must carry compulsary and emergency equipment (TBA)
AWARDS: Every finisher will receive a C2C ULTRA medal and t shirt
COURSE PROFILE/MAPS: We will provide crew route information pack, directions, timings, start and finish.
SAFETY: This in an extreme event, with night running on roads. All runners must be FULLY visible and crews and runners must adhere to the highway code. We are not responsible for any death/injury/accidents. We highly recommend runners and crews have up to date appropriate insurance cover for such an event. We can only suggest safe practise and rules. It is upto the individual runner and his/her crew to adhere to these. This is a 'fun' event that you enter at your own risk. We are simply providing a start, timing and finish point. We ARE NOT there for your safety.
